Small Renaissance altar, donated by mayor Conrad Küffner and his wife (1615). Built into it is an older relief (c 1520): Adoration of the Kings; and in the predella is the oldest existing town view of Bayreuth.
From the late Gothic basilika (15C); they formerly stood outside the choir.
Donated by Margravine Maria (1615), carvings by H. Werner in late Renaissance style. The original paintings by the court painter Bollandt were replaced by works of A. Riedel (c 1800). Theme of the altar: Passion and Last Supper; the 'coat of arms' of Jesus above the coats of arms of Margrave Christian and of his wife Maria is an unusual feature.
With eight alabaster reliefs by H. Werner, Nürnberg (c 1600); unusual are: Christ in the wine press and a baptism scene c 1600.
With the ceremonial coffins of the margravial family 1620 – 1730; access behind the altar; with a touch screen with pictures and short biographies in the antechamber.
From the 17C and 18C against the wall of the nave and in the vestibule, some of them valuable both artistically and art historically.
Dated 1729, on special occasions this still goes ahead of the procession before it enters the church.
Built in 1961 by the firm of Steinmeyer, enlarged in 2014; with four manuals one of the biggest organs in Upper Franconia; with the choir organ ('Magdalene organ') by the firm of Klais (1978/2014) 100 stops altogether.
From the 16C and 17C on the north wall; e.g. for mayor Pangratius Biedermann (around1560/1600) with a representation of 'the chair of Grace (the Trinity)'.
From the first church, for which presumably the foundation stone was laid or the consecration took place on 9 November 1194 (first documented mention of Bayreuth).
